Kim Deschamps

Kim is the Founder & CEO of Holistic Physiotherapy and Wellness, as well as being a Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Therapist, Professional Yoga Therapist, and Dry Needling Practitioner.

Kim’s years of expertise in her professional practice follows a holistic or whole-being approach to health and wellness, allowing her to find the primary driver to her clients’ pain, reduced mobility, and reduced function. Drawing from evidence-based technique and knowledge, Kim supports people as they explore and recover from their pain experience and resistant patterns that are limiting them from feeling their best selves.

Kim is a root cause detective when it comes to listening to her patient’s health stories and finding patterns within their signs and symptoms. Once uncovered, the root causes are addressed with a holistic health approach that may involve simultaneous work on the body, mind, and spirit. Kim works with both men and women who are ready to make significant changes in their health and wellness. These individuals also understand the importance of the mind-body connection and the whole person perspective to rehabilitation, health and wellness.

Kim is known for her work with women in every stage of womanhood to setup their life in a way that works with their menstrual cycle and hormone health instead of against it. It is important to her to assist women to find balance and empowerment so that they can significantly improve their daily life. Kim leans on her designations in Physiotherapy, Pelvic Health Therapy, Yoga Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine to provide women with tools and resources surrounding Cycle Syncing, hormone regulation, and central nervous system down-regulation.

She strongly advocates that every person holds the power to be an active driver in their health and well-being and strives to promote health journeys focused on preventing pain and improving life quality. With respect to the complexity of each individual’s experience and struggles, Kim balances empathy and expertise in finding the right solution that fits her clients’ needs.

Kim’s educational journey took her from completing a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with Great Distinction, majoring in Adapted Physical Activity, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the College of Medicine, School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan.
