How I work
Shay holds a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor of Education. She works primarily with adults experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, trauma, and relationship difficulties. She also supports individuals navigating the lasting effects of childhood or sexual abuse on their relationships, self-worth, and emotional well-being.
Body Trust certified and trained in Motivational Interviewing, Shay brings a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to therapy. Her style is compassionate, direct, and collaborative. She creates space for clients to explore difficult experiences, examine patterns, and engage honestly with themselves.
Shay works alongside clients to deepen insight, build practical skills, and create meaningful change. Her approach may resonate with people who appreciate both warmth and candour.
